Grand Commander’s April Message Spring is Here? April make us aware that Spring has finally arrived as we look around and see every thing beginning to grow and turn green as Mother Nature is performing her duties. Your Grand Commandery Officers having returned from their travels to the East central Department Meeting in Fort Wayne Indiana and to the Annual Easter Pilgrimage at Alexandria, Virginia are finishing up their assigned inspection and preparing for the Annual Conclave to be held in Peoria, Illinois on August 2, 2008. Now is the time for ALL THE Recorders and Committee Chairman start getting their year end reports ready to send into the Grand Recorder so he can get his reports ready for the Grand Conclave. The Cross and Crown Award form should be sent to Walter A. Dement, 9257 Oak Street, Orland Park, Ill 60462. The recorders should have been sending their Knighting cards and monthly reports to the Grand Recorder at: Robert k. Cronk, EGR, PO Box 37, Rock City, Illinois 61070. The Eminent Commanders should be looking over their Recorders shoulder to see that they get their reports in on time. The success of a Commandery depends upon whether the recorders get his reports in on time. The Inspections have been going very well this year and a lot of the Commanderies having or will met their membership goal that I set for them this year. I congratulate them. That does not mean the year is over. You still have time to meet your goal and you still should be Knighting more than one candidate a year. As of this Date (March 3, 2008) Illinois is 11th in the Cumulative Total wit $10,540.20 the and 27th in the Per-Capita Rank with 2.04 for 40th Annual Voluntary Campaign EVERY CHRISTIAN MASON SHOULD BE A KNIGHTS TEMPLAR
